Darren Bragg is a former Major League Baseball outfielder with an 11-year big league career spanning from 1994 through 2004, during which he played for nine different MLB clubs.
He was drafted out of Georgia Tech in the 22nd round of the 1991 MLB Draft.During his playing career, Bragg compiled a batting average of .255, hit 46 home runs, drove in 260 runs and stole 56 bases.
After retiring as a player, Bragg turned to coaching and player development. Among his roles:
- Development Coach for the Dayton Dragons (Cincinnati Reds organization).
- Hitting Coach in the Reds’ minor league system (notably with Dayton) in 2007-2008, helping teams reach the playoffs.
- Minor League Outfield Coordinator for the Reds from 2009 through 2018.
- Bench Coach roles in a few minor league teams including Chattanooga and Daytona before/around 2020.
- He’s also had international coaching experience, for example as a hitting coach with the Auckland Tuatara in the Australian Baseball League.
