DownUnder Travellers Junior International Squad Lands in Miami

The 2025 DownUnder Travellers Junior International Squad has officially landed in Miami, Florida — ready to take the field, train with professionals and experience baseball at its highest level.

For the next two weeks, 28 of Australia’s most promising young players will represent their country, their clubs and their families in a tour designed to open their eyes to what’s possible. This is more than a trip; it’s the start of something bigger.

Led by Ben Moore and supported by a full coaching and training staff featuring former MLB players, professional scouts and elite performance coaches, the squad will experience life inside the heart of American baseball. From professional development sessions and scrimmages against US competition to facility tours and guest instruction, the goal is simple: growth.

The tour represents the first true taste of international baseball for many of these players — a chance to learn, adapt and elevate their game in an environment that demands their best. They’ll see what it means to train like professionals, compete with confidence and embrace the culture of high-performance baseball.

For DownUnder Travellers, this tour marks another important step in our mission to provide genuine pathways for young Australian and New Zealand athletes. These players have come through our programs and events, committed themselves to their development and now have the chance to stand on international fields that many dream of reaching.

The next two weeks will challenge them, inspire them and strengthen their love for the game. What they learn here will shape their future — and for some, it may be the first step toward college baseball or even a professional career.

We’re incredibly proud of every athlete wearing the Travellers uniform in Miami and can’t wait to see how they represent themselves, their teammates and Australian baseball on the world stage.
